Flagstaff Surgical Associates has always focused on providing our patients with exceptional care in a safe environment – these extraordinary times have pushed us to take other proactive and voluntary steps to continue this level of care while efforts to contain COVID-19 evolve.
Our team of doctors, surgeons, providers and administrators have been diligent in keeping up with daily changes to recommendations and regulations to prevent the spread of this disease.
What we are doing
- We have called each patient to keep their appointment by TELEMEDICINE (by video or phone) when appropriate. We will be adding a curbside telemedicine option this week for patients without video capability. Telemedicine set up is explained in detail to patients prior to appointment and instruction available on our website.
- We have increased cleaning schedules throughout the office and after each patient visit.
- We are taking temperature of each patient upon arrival, have required patients to wash hands upon entering office, and leave additional visitors waiting in the car or at home.
- We also ask that those who are sick reschedule their appointments. Additionally, if you have had contact with those showing symptoms or have tested positive for Coronavirus, we ask that you reschedule with us as a courtesy to other patients and our team.
We know that our role is important and that we have a responsibility for the health of our entire community. In response to shortages in personal protective equipment and in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local government officials, we have halted all elective surgery to focus on providing emergent and urgent care to those who need it. Elective surgeries will be rescheduled with priority when we are able.
If you require immediate medical assistance due to any urgent needs, please contact us by calling 928-773-2222 Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 4pm. We will be able to assist you and find a treatment option that will suit your situation.
We have ensured that we can efficiently and effectively serve our communities to the best of our ability during this time.
We do encourage you to seek care with us if you believe you need it or experience a need for care or have an emergency. Telemedicine visits are proving very effective in caring for most patients.
The uniqueness of this pandemic is the effect that we know it has had on us all, and our thoughts are with all of our patients and community. When this situation subsides, we will be ready to serve all of you with the same great care you have come to associate with us over the decades.
If you have any questions related to your existing appointment or to schedule a new appointment, please call us at 928-773-2222.
