Thanks for checking out this bio – I kinda hate reading these and will try to make this a little less dry. I earned a BS in chemistry at Hobart and William Smith Colleges which is tough at a small liberal arts college. After being accepted into medical school, my future wife and I deferred medical school for a year to make sure that we were a good match for each other, and that medicine was my optimal career – fortunately both have been great matches (and Hawaii was a great place to spend a year). We both became a die-hard Buckeyes while I was in medical school at The Ohio State University. After completing my residency in Urology at Albany Medical Center, I completed a Fellowship at the University of Iowa in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotics.
Sarah and I moved to Flagstaff in 2009 with our 3 awesome girls. We found a great community here and love the many activities and adventures that Flagstaff and Northern Arizona have to offer. We have tried to add back to the community in many ways, not only by being a part of the fantastic medical community. We support our local public schools which our children attend as well as many local organizations and nonprofits. I sit on many committees at Flagstaff Medical Center and I amnd the Chairman of Pathfinder Health ACO which is working to transform healthcare to deliver excellent medical care for all members of the community in a sustainable fashion.
As for Urology, I strive to provide excellent, compassionate, and state of the art care. I introduced robotic and laparoscopic renal and prostate surgery to Northern Arizona. I utilize advanced technology when possible from electronic medical records to advanced imaging and in-office procedures. I treat all genders and ages for most urologic conditions. For a more details on my education, committees, and professional organizations, please see my attached CV.
What do I expect from my patients? The same that most providers want: knowledge of their own health conditions and medications, clear description of symptoms, and an attitude of ownership and trust.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I look forward to working with you.
